Bishop C.T. Wells is the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Church and the Founding Pastor of Emmanuel East Worship and Outreach Center. A single, thriving ministry with two strategic central and east locations situated in the beautiful City of Portland, Oregon.
Pastor Wells holds a MA in Christian Ministries from George Fox University, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Friends International University. He has traveled around the country and the world preaching, teaching, and training leaders. He is the author of Courageous in Conflict, a book containing 15 practical and biblical principles, which can help anyone, of any background; think wisely about meeting conflict head on and walking away the better for it.
Bishop Adolph A. Wells, the Founding Pastor, shepherded the Emmanuel Temple Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Portland, Oregon, for nearly 40 years. He was also the Founder and Presiding Bishop
of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Association, an organization that launched churches and led nearly 100 pastors and ministries.
Born and raised in the state of Mississippi, as a child Bishop often enjoyed cutting timber wood with his father. In 1957, he left Mississippi to attend Seattle Central College and later Seattle University. While
in Seattle, he began working for the United States Postal Service. After retiring, he pursued full-time ministry. In 1963, he was ordained to the Ministry by Bishop E. F. Morris in Seattle, Washington. In 1965, he
founded Emmanuel Temple Church; in 1970,
